Social researchers are located in two areas in the Cabinet Office:
National School of Government provides courses both targeted specifically at social researchers, and for other civil servants who engage with the evidence generated by social research. The courses for social researchers introduce participants to the issues of conducting social research in a government context and aim to improve the quality and utility of work undertaken. The courses have been developed by social researchers working in conjunction with National School of Government and draw on the experience of internal and external stakeholders (for example other specialists, policy makers and the external research community). The courses are delivered by social researchers with current or recent government experience.
