GSR and the future: a message from the Government Chief Social Researcher

In June, the GSR HoPs held an Awayday in Brighton to review where GSR is, where it is going and what we need to do to equip us for future challenges.

We covered a lot of ground, some important areas where we need to respond to change and some practical things we need to do to equip ourselves for future challenges and ensure we meet our potential.

I want GSR to know what we are planning but, more importantly, I want you to be involved. The new committee structure will give more of you a chance to have your say, to make a difference and to influence the future of GSR.

Please take time to read the document and have your say, either by getting involved yourself or talking to your HoP or one of your committee members.

A number of GSR members in Departments have asked me to come and talk to them about where we are going. If you'd like me to do this just ask!
