November 2006: Legal Services Research Centre has commissioned ECOTEC and the Personal Finance Research Centre to evaluate the Legal Services Commission's money advice outreach pilot.

This is the second phase of the overall evaluation and ECOTEC/PFRC will be focussing on the
advice provider perspective. They will investigate the key processes,issues, impacts and problems that the pilot organisations faced during the set-up, first few months, and subsequent running and delivery of the projects.

This builds upon earlier work the LSRC has conducted on debt. The LSRC will be publishing the results of its impact of debt advice project around Christmas 2006. The results draw on four research strands, including a pioneering Random Control Trial.
