Evaluation of post school psychological services (PSPS) in Scotland - Scottish Executive (SE) report

The Beattie Committee report, Implementing Inclusiveness Realising Potential (1999), recommended that vulnerable young people in Scotland should have access to educational psychological services where these would support the transitions process to post-school.

In April 2004 PSPS pathfinders were established for a 2-year period in 12 local authorities. The aim of the PSPS is to promote better outcomes for young people and to contribute to the reduction of the proportion not in employment, education or training (NEET).
