Scottish Household Survey 2005

The seventh annual and technical reports of the Scottish Household Survey (SHS) were published on 4th August 2006.

The annual report outlines the main findings from 15,395 household interviews carried out in Scotland in 2005, providing detailed information about people living in Scotland today, reporting both nationally and by groups of local authority.

The survey provides accurate, representative and up-to-date information on the characteristics, composition and behaviour of households in Scotland in a number of areas, particularly relating to communities, transport and local government. Results from a number of new questions on local government performance, use of credit and analysis by deprivation have been included for the first time.

The main reports can be found at the SHS website. Please contact the SHS Team if you would like hard copies of the reports or require further information.
