New GSR Rapid Evidence Assessment toolkit now on-line
This new toolkit provides easy-to-use guidance on the use of Rapid Evidence Assessments (RAEs). RAEs provide quick summaries of what is already known about a policy or practice and the new toolkit will help GSR members use this increasingly popular technique to provide timely answers to questions.

- In-work Support: Qualitative Findings -
a qualitative research report on the In-Work Support (IWS) component of the ‘Pathways to Work’ incapacity benefit reform pilots which provides in-depth accounts of customer and staff experiences. The research forms part of a comprehensive independent evaluation of ‘Pathways to Work’.

- Impact of benefit and tax uprating on incomes and poverty - each year, the Government decides how much to raise benefits and tax allowances. The basis for these upratings is rarely debated, yet has major long-term consequences for the relative living standards of different groups and for public finances. This research considers the implications of present uprating policies, and aims to stimulate debate on this hidden area of policy-making.

- Developing financially capable young people - this report identifies features of good practice in personal finance education.It examines the case for personal finance education being part of the curriculum for all 11-18-year-olds and considers current weaknesses in provision and the barriers to future development. It makes a number of recommendations to improve personal finance education.
